She could never trust a cop…

Teacher Kate Abbott’s fresh start in Still Harbor was the beginning of the life that she and her two best friends always imagined for themselves. Still, being a working single parent of a special needs daughter hasn’t exactly improved Kate’s love life. But Kate’s preference for nachos over men quickly disappears when she meets the oh-so-sexy Matt Lane.

Until she finds out he’s a cop.

Matt is a former cop-turned-private investigator, and he knows fear when he sees it. A cop clearly spooked Kate…or hurt her. Still, something about the gorgeous professor catches his attention, and despite his “no settling down” policy, he can’t resist her. But all of the attraction in the world won’t be enough to overcome Kate’s past…

My Review
Falling for the PI is a sweet small town romance with a great storyline and wonderful characters. Matt is a former cop who traded his badge for a private investigator job while Kate is a sweet and wholesome teacher raising her adoptive daughter.

Kate moves to Still Harbor with her two best friends who are more like her sisters along with her daughter, Janie. While none of them are related by blood, they are a family and the only one they've ever had.

The romance between Kate Matt is sweet, genuine, and quite enjoyable. I fell in love with this couple, the town of Still Harbor, and the family Kate has created by choice. Victoria James has written a utterly delightful and surprising book filled with romance that made me swoon and a small-town that made me want to pack my bags and move there immediately.

It was a pleasure to dive into Jame's world of Still Harbor and I honestly cannot wait for the rest of the books in this series.

★★★★
