My Review:
For anyone who has ever felt like an outcast, this book is for YOU. For everyone who has ever needed a second chance or a do over in life, this is for YOU.

NAKED is the story of Anna, a runaway teenager who left home at thirteen and found herself mixed up with a bad guy and becoming a prostitute. Now home, she is looking for a chance to start over but her chance includes being with her overbearing father and her spineless mother along with worrying about which student in her school knows the truth about her past.

NAKED is raw, it is real, and at times it is heartbreaking. The saddest part of the story is that this is a truth that families live with everywhere in the world. Kids running away or they are kidnapped and brought into the world of prostitution. Stacey Trombley tackles this topic heads on and does it in a brilliant and heartbreakingly beautiful way.

I felt for Anna. I felt sad for her, I felt proud of her, I felt happy for her. I went through a whole slew of emotions when it came to this character. For everything she has gone through and everything that will remain with her for the rest of her life, she is a brave soul. She is an old soul. She has been through more than other kids her age and she has a story to tell. Anna goes through humongous changes and personal growth throughout this story and finally realizes that she deserves to be happy. The past is the past and her future is bright and hers for the taking.

Another character who undergoes a tremendous amount of growth in this book is Anna's mom. When we first meet her she seems spineless and passive, but she develops over the course of the book and realizes her worth as a person and mother.

Thought provoking and raw, Naked makes an impact. From it's cover to it's plot to it's characters, Naked makes it's mark and remains with you.

About the Author

Stacey Trombley lives in Ohio with her husband and the sweetest Rottweiler you’ll ever meet. She thinks people are fascinating and any chance she has, she’s off doing or learning something new. She went on her first mission trip to Haiti at age twelve and is still dying to go back. Her “places to travel” list is almost as long as her “books to read” list.

She wants to bring something new to the world through her writing, but just giving a little piece of herself is more than enough.

Keep a look out for her debut novel NAKED, coming from Entangled Teen in 2015
