Madison escapes from the funeral, heading to a hotel bar to drown her sorrows. There she meets a stranger who awakens something inside of her. He helps her forget that life is a series of losses. For one night she gains someone to care for her. In those stolen moments, nothing else matters. The next morning, though, all she can feel is guilt, so she slips away without saying goodbye.
Madison is devoted to those she loves and would do anything for her family. She finds herself moving back home when her brother’s widow needs help caring for their seven-year-old daughter. Little does she know, she will soon face the biggest challenge of her life.
In the near future, fate will have their paths cross again, and the question will be whether this complicated but caring woman can convince this distrustful and disillusioned man to believe in falling in love for the first time in his life. Will passion and desire be enough to surmount all of life’s obstacles, or will the threat of heartache and overwhelming responsibility keep these two lovers apart forever?
Madison has had an awful day. She attended her brother's funeral to say her last goodbye and ended up getting dumped in a cemetary. All she wants is to escape her sorrows for awhile. A hotel bar, a chance meeting, and fate at work leads Madison to have a one night stand with a stranger.
Sawyer is looking for a change in his life. After meeting his sister he never knew and watching his brother marry a girl who chases after Sawyer himself constantly, he finds himself needing a change which leads to his move back to the town where a beautiful stranger once slipped away in the night after the passion they shared.
When the run into each other once more sparks fly but does their love stand a chance when one of them wants no commitment but friends with benefits?
Never to Keep is well written with a great story line and so many different characters - each one searching for something new in life and themselves.
Madison's personality really brought her character to light. Her close friendships, how she raises her niece and tries to take care of her sister in law and her ability to forgive her ex make her the wonderful person she is. Her tomboyish personality and her need to take care of her family in any way she can despite the situation helps to bring Madison's character to life.
As for Sawyer I had a love/hate relationship with him. At times he could be so sweet and definite boyfriend material and yet at others he could be an ass. Given his one brother is a serial player and his other is married to a vindictive cheater it's no wonder Sawyer feels the way he does about women when he has had those role models.
The relationship itself had it's obstacles but I found myself hoping Sawyer would get his act together and realize Madison was worth it. I was rooting for them from the beginning.
Aimie Grey keeps you on the edge of you seat not knowing what surprise you will get next. Never to Keep keeps you on a rollercoaster from page one, but it's quite a ride and quite a book! I loved Never to Keep and definitely recommend that readers pick up their copy today.
Aimie Grey didn’t read a single book until she was in her early thirties. One fateful day, her friend decided to put an end to the madness and shoved a steamy romance novel under Aimie’s nose. After being forced to read one of “those” scenes, Aimie went home and bought the book, and the next one, and the one after that. In the two years since, Aimie has read close to four hundred books. Somewhere along the way, she became frustrated with reading repetitive stories revolving around the experienced man seducing the still virginal woman. Aimie decided to take matters into her own hands and wrote her debut full length erotic romance novel Never to Keep. In addition to her day job as an IT system administrator, and her new evening gig as a writer, Aimie’s primary role in life is wife and mother. Aimie lives in the Midwest with her husband and two teenage daughters.
