Christmas Spirit Read-a-Thon & Reading Challenge Sign-Up & Goals

Christmas Spirit Read-a-Thon!

DETAILS:
  • Read-a-Thon dates: Monday, November 23 at 12:00am CST until Sunday, November 29 at 11:59pm CST (adjust your time zone accordingly)
  • You do not have to be signed up for the Christmas Spirit Reading Challenge to participate.
  • I am not requiring that you read only Christmas/holiday books during the read-a-thon, but I hope you will pick up at least one holiday tale, even if it's just to read some children's books with your kids or some holiday short stories
  • To check in on Twitter, we'll use hashtag #CSreadathon
  • As usual, you do not have to have a blog to participate...feel free to link up and check in from Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, etc. AND we now have a Facebook group, in case you didn't know.
MY GOALS:
My goals for this read-a-thon are to read:

-Christmas with The Black Sheep by Natalie-Nicole Bates
-Killer Christmas by Harper Lin
-My Christmas Curse by Joan Gable

DETAILS:
  • Challenge will run from Monday, November 23, 2015 through Wednesday, January 6, 2015 (Twelfth Night or Epiphany).
  • Cross over with other challenges is totally permitted AND encouraged!
  • These must be Christmas novels, books about Christmas lore, a book of Christmas short stories or poems, books about Christmas crafts, and for the first time...a children's Christmas books level!
    • LEVELS:
            --Candy Cane:  Read 1 book
            --Mistletoe:  read 2-4 books
--Christmas Tree:  read 5 or 6 books (this is the fanatic level...LOL!)
          Additional levels:
--Fa La La La Films:  watch a bunch or a few Christmas movies...it's up to you!
--Visions of Sugar Plums:  read books with your children this season and share what you read
*The additional levels are optional. Yoou still must complete one of the main reading levels above.
MY GOALS:
I LOVE Christmas and Christmas books, so my level goal for this challenge is Christmas Tree (5-6 books). Those books include:
1. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
2. The Billionaire's Christmas Baby by Victoria James
3.

Winter Wonderland: An O'Malley Christmas story (The O'Malleys Book 2) by Michelle McLoughney

4. Christmas with The Billionaire by Amy Lamont
5. Christmas Carol Murder by Leslie Meier
A few others I hope to get to over the Christmas season are: A Christmas Tragedy by Agatha Christie, Dashing Through The Snow by Debbie Macomber, Hercule Poirot's Christmas by Agatha Christie, Unexpected Gifts by Holly Jacobs (P.S. I'll be giving away a signed copy of a Holly Jacobs book near Christmas to one lucky reader!), and the Handmade for Christmas collection.
I will also be doing the additional levels: Fa La La La Films and Visions of Sugar Plums. With a toddler who is excited for Christmas and a lover of books himself, the Visions of Sugar Plums is right up our alley and since we love watching movies together so is Fa La La La Films. As we watch our movies and read our books together I will update my progress here.
