Synopsis: Dawn Freeze had a huge crush on Hawk Rain for years, and the entire town knows it. It's understandable-- the man is total hotness. That tall, lean body. Intense dark eyes. And always one foot out the door. Now he's on leave for exactly one week. And this time, he's made it crystal clear that he only wants one thing. Her.
And the only way to protect Dawn is to push her away...
MY REVIEW
Dawn has been in love with Hawk for as long as she can remember. Hawk is Dawn's brother's best friend and has always been thought of as part of the family so to Hawk, Dawn came with a big "Danger! Stay Clear!" sign because Hawk did not want to upset the balance within Dawn's family or with Dawn's brother, Colton.
While in town for a week, Hawk realizes he can no longer resist temptation and he has to have Dawn. BUT only for a week.
Over the Top is hot, sexy, and different in the sense that there is no build up or conflict for this couple. Readers who have followed this series has KNOWN this is coming and Hawk and Dawn themselves knew it would eventually would happen. The problem is how will it effect Dawn's family which is also Hawk's family if it was more than a fling. I like how Zanetti has chosen to write it this way.
The storyline itself is suspenseful, engaging, and captivated me right from the start. I love how Zanetti has left this book open in case of more books based on these two characters. I think Hawk and Dawn have a lot of potential left to explore and I know a lot of readers like myself have been waiting on this pairing to get it together and on this book itself so with the way Zanetti leaves things, I am hoping for another with this couple because they are just an amazing pairing.
I really enjoyed this book and seeing inside Hawk's mind most of all. I was anxious for this couple to get together and Zanetti did not disappoint in their story.
4.5 STARS!
This sounds like a fun and hot romance book. I like the sound of no conflict as sometimes it can be a bit frustrating how every romance needs conflict, so it's nice to have the conflict outside of the couple for a chance and more with how the family responds. They sounds like a great couple. Great review!
