MY REVIEW
Dangerous Tease is the third book in Avery Flynn's Layton Family series. From th very beginning of this series Flynn has shocked and awed readers with the suspense and romance between each couple throughout their story.
This time it's Sam's turn. Sam Layton, the oldest and most serious of all the Laytons finds himself in Vegas with his brother Chris. Letting himself go from his strict, rigid self, Chris falls into bed with a waitress he meets that night named Josie.
Josie's dreams have always been about showcasing her artwork and talent. But as her dreams go up in smoke, she finds herself working two waitressing jobs. Finally raising enough money to head to Dry Creek, Nebraska to spend six months in an artist colony, Josie is hit with some unfortunate bad luck. The only thing that can help her now and save her family is finding Rachel's Bounty. The only problem is Josie needs Sam Layton in order to solve the mystery of where the treasure is hidden and Sam can't trust her.
Dangerous Tease is full of danger, treasure hunting, and steamy romance. For a straight laced guy, Sam is quite the man and heats up the pages with the chemistry between him and Josie. The two of them seem to bring out the best and sometimes the worst in one another but the chemistry between them sizzles.
Avery Flynn has a way with words and a talent for putting her characters in danger while romance burns between them. I have loved every single book of Flynn's that I have picked up and Dangerous Tease is just another one added to that list. The characters in this series are all remarkable but Sam seems to do the most growth throughout this book. He lets go of the past and moves forward.
My only problem with this series is I really, really want more of Chris! He is the Layton I have been most curious about and I would love to know his story.
