USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR Dakota Madison and Sierra Avalon team up to bring readers a new breed of antiheroes…THE NINES.

Vengeance is mine not the Lord’s. It’s what I breathe for. It’s what I’m still living for. I live for the moment when I will literally have his eye for mine. It’s been two years. Two long and difficult years, but my plan is nearly complete. When I’m not in a hospital having doctors try to repair my ravaged body I spend my time on the computer, doing hacking jobs for large corporations and governments who don’t want to get their hands dirty or be associated with a job if things go sideways. But they don’t have any reason to worry. I’m meticulous, so I’ll never get caught. Just one thing stands in my way: The mysterious young woman without a past who desperately wants to be part of my future. I just need to figure out why…

THE NINES is an ongoing romantic suspense series. Each book can be read as a STAND ALONE NOVEL or as PART OF THE SERIES.

Barnes & Noble:

My Review
Secrets, secrets, secrets. THE NINES is the first book in this series and full of secrets. Secrets from the past, secret fraternities... Plenty of secrets to go around.

THE NINES is the story of Alexander and Roxie (Rozvan) and can be view as a modern day Beauty & Beast story.

Alexander was Mr. Popular in school. He had it all: a beautiful girlfriend, a bright future, and friends who looked up to him. Then the back to school bombing happened. He survived only to be left permanently disfigured.

Roxie never would have imagined that her brother could do what he did. Although he acted strange that final day, she never dreamt the reason behind the oddness could be so devastating.

Alexander, seeking revenge becomes a part of THE NINES. When sorority girls begin to be raped and hospitalized and Roxie's friend and roommate, Claire, goes missing, it's up to Alexander to help find her and working under dangerous men has given him many criminal contacts.

THE NINES is intriguing, unique, and suspenseful. From the very beginning, you do not know what to expect but you find yourself immersed in the story very quickly.

I loved Alexander's character the most. He intrigued me. With everything that had happened to him, he managed to survive and takes classes (even though they are online) and has a job. Although he works for dangerous people, as he finds himself seeking revenge for what has happened to him, he never harms anyone who is innocent and does not deserve his wrath. His character was a modern take on the Beast and was so well written you cannot help but to love this character - no matter how dangerous he is.

Roxie, I eventually warmed up to her and liked her a lot. At the beginning her curious nature was a bit much for me to take in, but as I kept reading she grew on me and as I mentioned I ended up really liking her.

Speaking of Roxie's curious nature, I never imagined in the beginning when she was so intrigued by this mysterious man that she would be irrevocably linked to him in such a twisted way. I think it intrigued me even more once I found out.

The suspense keeps you turning the pages because you cannot put this book down. You never know what will happen or be revealed next and it can be nerve wracking trying to figure what is going to happen.

This is the first work I have read by this author and I am truly amazed by her brilliancy and talent. I am looking forward to the rest of this series!

Five suspenseful stars for THE NINES!
