Blog Tour: Gypsy Beach by Jillian Neal

Gypsy Beach
by Jillian Neal
Releasing: June 23, 2015

Single father, Ryan McNamara, returns to the only place he'd ever been happy, Gypsy Beach. This time he's divorced, broken, but determined to make something of his life.

Sienna Cooper is determined to forget Ryan, the last decade, and all of the hurt he'd left her with. She's got enough spunk and gypsy fire in her soul to make this work. She's going to run her grandmother's inn and make it a success. But when a chance encounter throws them back together, the passions ignite and the past doesn't feel so far out of reach.

Can they rekindle the love they'd once had? Can he convince her that he never intends to walk away again? Will a potent dose of unending lust, a lifetime of love, and enough hot-blooded Gypsy spirit be enough to save them both?

Excerpt 1:

She had her head thrown back laughing as she raced across the wet sand. The setting sun lit the wildfire in her eyes, and Ryan would’ve followed her anywhere. The warm, foamy saltwater lapped at her toes, as anxious to touch some part of her beautiful body as he was. Launching himself forward, every muscle in his body propelled him towards her. He caught her hand and then leaned to scoop up her lithe form into his arms.
Every patch of her silky skin that connected with his sent a spark of electricity straight to his groin. His heart raced, but he kept running with her. Running away, maybe.
With a delighted squeal, she leaned in and clung tightly to his neck. Her long, thick hair, the color of black coffee with caramel and blonde ribbons spun through it from their summer in the sun, cascaded out over his left bicep, flying behind them as he raced her down the shores of Gypsy Beach. Her hazel eyes danced just for him.
Everything about her was a juxtaposition, as if she was in constant contention with herself. Wild, free, and living on the edge of an impulse that made his entire world spin. Every single thing about Sienna Cooper was perfect by his seventeen-year-old estimations.
Stop running and put me down so I can kiss you, Ryan McNamara!” Her laughter and her order whipped around him in the salt-soaked wind, stirring and igniting every cell in his body.
Yes, ma’am.” He set her on her feet and wasted no time mating their mouths. She was so sweet it was sinful, like spun sugar that melted in his arms. He’d fallen in love with her two summers before and spent every school year longing to get back to Gypsy Beach and back to Sienna.
His lips kept hers occupied while his hands tracked down her slender sides and then dipped into that bikini bottom that had been driving him to distraction all damn day. He cupped her backside, and when that simply wasn’t enough he kneaded her with greed.
A timid moan reverberated against his tongue as he slipped it between her lips, memorizing the heat, the way they swelled, the way they tasted, and the all-encompassing feeling of her body needy for him. That moment would have to last him until next summer.
Unable to stop himself, his right hand traversed the short distance from her sweet little backside to the perfect patch of skin between her thighs. She trembled, and her body rolled against his. He almost lost it all there on the deserted beach.
Her mound quaked as his thumb hesitantly explored. Her breath tangled in her throat, and her eyes closed in expectant ecstasy. He could feel the tender heat and the liquid desire gathering in preparation for him, and that night he was going to make a claim. They would be each other’s firsts, each other’s only if he had anything to say about it. He’d unite them in time and space, and it would be enough to get him through the next nine months of school five states away. It had to be enough.
I love you Sienna Rose, and, God, baby, I need you. Before we have to leave tomorrow, I just need you. Stay with me tonight.”
With that sexy smirk and the fire that lived inside of her that always seemed to consume both of their souls, she followed him inside his parents’ beach house.

Excerpt 2
The knowledge that this was all for Evie and for the life he wanted to build for her echoed in the choked whir of the engine of his truck. A new car could be purchased after he had his little girl safely with him and he’d turned his parents’ old beach house into their home.
To his parents’ fury, and mostly to annoy them, Ryan had refused to sell the beach house to help cover the cost of his father’s crimes. He’d paid off their mansion and managed to keep his dad out of jail, but the beach house was non-negotiable.
Unable to plan beyond the next demand or the next moment, he hadn’t known why it was so important then, but he was eternally thankful that he’d listened to his gut.
Alexa had thrown him out of their home in Buckhead the next week. He’d moved into his parent’s pool house after reminding his father that he’d effectively saved his ass, and began to formulate a plan to escape everything he’d ever really known.
The truck bumped and bounced over the massive tree roots that stuck out of the ground. Reminding himself that Sienna was long gone and that the Inn now had new owners was how he forced himself out of the truck. She’s probably off in California like she always wanted to be. She’s probably married to some lucky bastard without even half the problems you have. She deserves to be happy and fulfilled. Thoughts of Sienna lying in bed under some unnamed man, staring up at him with that hunger in her eyes, made him furious. He shook them away as he eased onto the porch. There was a large hole, the approximate shape of a boot, that had gone through the rotting wood. The decks and porches needed to come down first. He could do that today.
The door was open just a crack. It appeared too swollen to fully close. Ryan knocked, and it swung open further. He glanced around, not wanting to walk into someone else’s home. Not wanting to walk in at all.
The memories were far too potent. It even smelled like her grandmother’s cooking and that coffee she used to make them that tasted like heaven. The only thing sweeter was kissing it off of Sienna’s lips.
Suddenly, he heard a shrill scream from upstairs. Another echo of terror met him on the steps that he took three at a time. It sounded like someone was being attacked.
Working on instinct alone, he threw open one of the bedroom doors and raced towards the shrieking shouts of fear.
Oh my God! This is horrible!” He heard her voice one half second before he flung open the bathroom door.
Another shriek ricocheted through his ears as Sienna grabbed an old hand towel and attempted to cover her absolutely spellbinding body. Shock rocketed through Ryan. He didn’t know what to think, but he was unable to do anything more than stare at her. She’d been beautiful when she was seventeen, but damn, she was a full-blown woman now, and he’d never seen anything more breathtaking.
Her beautiful, heart-shaped face was contorted in horrified shock. Her hair was soaking wet and did a decent job of covering her painfully hardened nipples. His eyes tracked downward without his permission. She’d covered the bottom half of her breasts, her slender waist, and her pussy with the towel, much to his chagrin. He saw half of a large tattoo that ran from her back over her luscious ass and down her right leg. Ryan ordered himself to turn around, but my God, she was exquisite. It was like being presented with a feast after a long, long famine.
Sienna? I’m so sorry!” He finally managed to turn and tried not to look back.
Ryan!” she finally gasped.
Sienna, I had no idea you were here. I heard someone screaming. I’m so sorry!” He kept repeating the vow, but he couldn’t make sense of what had just happened himself.

Go in there,” she ordered, and he assumed she pointed to the door. With a quick nod, he left the bathroom and closed the door behind him.

                                                             My Review
Ryan McNamara is a single dad who is returning to his summer roots and heading to Gypsy Beach to set up shop and hopefully make a better life for himself and his daughter. Full of regrets from the last ten years, the only bright spot in Ryan's life is his beautiful little girl, Evie. After losing his construction company due to his father's greediness and his wicked ex-wife due to her gold digger ways, Ryan is trying to reclaim his life and get custody of his little girl. Heading back to Gypsy Beach he never imagined that he would run into his ex - the love of his life, Sienna.
Sienna Cooper spent six weeks ten years ago waiting for Ryan to join her at Gypsy Beach and begin their life together, only he never showed up. Heartbroken, Sienna had to move on with her life and begin again, but she never used the words "I love you" with another man again. When he Nana dies and leaves her the inn she grew up in, Sienna heads home to reclaim her gypsy roots and restore the inn she has always loved. She never dreamed that Ryan McNamara, the boy who broke her heart summers ago would be her contractor.
Can Gypsy Beach work it's magic and bring these two loves together for a second chance at love?
GYPSY BEACH is the perfect beach book for the summer. Full of romance, magic, and wonder, Gypsy Beach will capture your heart. I loved Sienna's carefree free-spirted character and Ryan's love for his daughter. These two characters are amazing apart, but together I loved their relationship. The tension between them is obvious from the beginning, but there is a lot of heartbreak there and mending to be done, but slowly the guards comes down. Ryan's relationship with Evie is touching and melted my heart with the moments they shared while Ryan and Sienna's relationship was real.
JILLIAN NEAL has weaved a tale that had me instantly drawn into the world of Gypsy Beach. I loved the magic that she created around this small beach town. The setting is beautiful and so described so realistically, you can picture yourself there. The characters are all wonderful from the main characters to sweet little Evie and I also enjoyed the interactions between Mac and Molly and their gypsy magic.
The only thing that I would point out was that Ryan's inner dialogue seemed something more like a woman would say rather than a man. It did not happen often so I was able to easily overlook that though and it did not take anything away from the story.
Overall, I really enjoyed this read and would recommend it to others. I'm looking forward to the next book, Gypsy Love, which is John's story.
