My Review
Readers of Indebted and Inevitable first met Devon as an FBI agent playing both sides of the mafia and the law, only to turn around and be assigned the king of the mob as his partner in the FBI. Invincible picks up a few years after the events of Inevitable and readers who loved Bree & Zerro get a sneak peek into their new lives as the layers are peeled back on Devon and we see who he truly is and where he comes from.
As Devon heads home to face his past, he comes across more than a case. He finds his ex-girlfriend, the love of his life, right in the center of it all even though she is innocent. In trying to protect her, he finds himself falling even more deeply for her. With dangerous men on their tail, a mystery to solve, and the tension between them, will Devon and Tegan survive what is headed their way and will they finally get the second chance they deserve?
I enjoyed reading the first two books in this series, but Invincible is my favorite of all. The angst, the danger, and the passion between Devon and Tegan makes this book the best one of all. Although at times Devon could irk me with his behavior (typical man!), I really liked him and learning more about what made him who he is. Tegan seemed the perfect fit for him and even with having her heart broken, she was strong.
As much as I liked the first two books, Invincible will blow you away. Once you pick up Invincible, you will not want to put this book down until you turn the last page.
