Title: Expired Regrets
Author: Megan C. Smith
Series: Living For Today
Publisher: Blue Tulip Publishing
I was a hopeless romantic, enjoying my life as I finished out my senior year of high school. My life was that of a typical student, nothing exciting happening to me until the day I met him.
Bryant was everything I wanted, but never knew was possible. The problem was, he didn't feel the same way. Or at least that’s how it appeared.
But our chemistry was undeniable, unavoidable and soon consumed us both. We fell hard and fast, and we crashed even harder leaving a wake of destruction behind us after a tragedy rocked our relationship.
Leaving behind Tampa and Bryant was the hardest thing I ever did, but I had to, for my survival. But one day, when my life hangs in the balance, Bryant is the only one who could save me, and all I could do was think about every moment I regretted not spending it with him.

I don’t even know where to begin, or what to say to you, so… I’m writing. When I met you, you took my breath away. I was instantly irresistibly attracted to you. Our connection was undeniable. Ultimately, though, I think it was all too much too fast. We loved each other too deeply, and that was our downfall. We never took the chance to work at our friendship and communication. We avoided the serious talks, too excited with the moment. Hell, that’s how Angelica was created in the first place, a lust-filled moment where neither of us were thinking about the consequences of our actions.
If we could rewind time, I would do it differently. As much as I loved you, it was too fast. Thinking back, maybe you saying I was too young had been spot on.
I know you want to talk about that day. I’m so angry with you for attempting to smother my dreams to go to college. I wanted to be a role model for to our daughter, too. You completed school. I knew I’d have to alter my course schedule and do some online or night courses to stay home with her. But you decided that wasn’t enough and got the job here without even talking to me. You made decisions for us by yourself.
Regrets...We all have them.
Expired Regrets explores regrets and the what if's in life. Rose is a senior in High school who has spent the last two years swearing off guys after her ex-boyfriend, a football player, raped her. Content with her friend Leslie and her horse by her side, Rose wades through life until Bryant walks into the stables and steals her heart.
Bryant, in his last year of college to become a paramedic, is instantly attracted to Rose, but tries his hardest to fight it. For starters, she is younger than him. Secondly, he has never taken the time to really date anyone after watching his parents fight.
When Jordan, Bryant's friend, enters the scene R0se must decide whether or not Bryant is worth the fight or if Jordan is the better choice.
When the choice is made, life takes a sudden turn that ends in the worst.
Will Rose and her guy ever get their happily ever after or will they forever regret saying goodbye?
Megan C. Smith has woven a tale that has readers on the edge of their seats waiting to see how this love triangle will play out and who will get their happy ending. The characters are each so real and you can easily connect with each one. Rose is probably one of the strongest characters I have read about. She has survived so much and keeps on going. She truly is an admirable character. As for the guys, Bryant and Jordan, each has their own qualities and sometimes Bryant can come off as a bit of a jerk, but each one loves Rose in their own special way.
Expired Regrets is filled with angst, regret, love, and second chances.
Personally, I loved this book and cannot wait for the next one. From a plot that will keep you guessing and torn between the two men in Rose's life to the characters themselves, you can find yourself a part of this book. I read this in one sitting because I couldn't get enough.
With that being said, I would rate this a
FIVE STAR BOOK.
