Synopsis:
I am loyal, but I will betray you.
I am strong, but I have scars.
I am an angel, but the devil.
I met her when I was sixteen, she was a breath of fresh air. She swooped in, making me smile. But then she left, taking my next breath with her.
Her smile could light up a room, making my black heart pitter patter.
I found her again ten years later, with a syringe in her arm.
Blood coming from her legs.
She was broken and I was glad she was broken. She wouldn't think less of me and my damaged ways.

MY REVIEW

For starters, I absolutely lust and go crazy for T.L. Smith's covers every time a new book releases and with Black, I drooled, I lusted and I KNEW without a doubt I needed my hands on this book. And T.L. being the awesomesauce author she is provided reviewers with ARCs. After opening this book and reading the very first few lines in this book, I was immediately drawn into it.

Black is the story of Rose and Liam (Black). As teenagers Rose and Liam had a brief, but memorable relationship until one day she suddenly left without even a goodbye. Liam became a bad boy, the kind of man who got his hands dirtied for others and years later he finds Rose as a slave for an MC that he does the dirty work for. Rose has gone through a lot during the years that they have been separated and when Liam finds her she is nothing but skin and bones, drug addicted, and dirty. Rescuing Rose from the MC puts both Rose and Liam on a path of salvation with one another and throws them into a highly intense relationship.

T.L. Smith has definitely left her mark on me. I couldn't finish this book without a long ugly cry session that continued on long after the last page was read. Smith has easily turned into one of my favorite authors since reading her Flawed series, but Black just moved me in so many ways and I found myself falling in love all over with this author's writing.

Liam is sexy, dangerous, and scary, but his heart is good and the attraction between him and Rose is undeniable. Rose is broken and damaged, but beautiful. Together they make an incredible pairing that stay with you long after the last page has been turned.

Smith is an amazing author and it shows throughout her books. Black is a MUST READ!
