Caprice DeLuca stages houses for high-end clients. When she discovers a body in the castle-mansion she staged to sell and starts asking questions, she finds herself in danger. On the way to solving the murder, Caprice's large Italian family helps and hinders. She also finds romance with Dr. Seth Randolph. But does her brother's partner, attorney Grant Weatherford, care about her, too? Or is he just worried she'll get herself killed and her family will blame him?

♥ My Review ♥

Caprice De Luca is a home interior designer turned home stager. With a love for all things vintage and a style that includes bell bottoms, fringe vests and the best of the 70's, Caprice De Luca is anything but ordinary. Spending her days tackling on the challenges of staging homes to perfection and taking in strays while looking for good homes for them, Caprice sure has her work cut out for her.

When Caprice finds the murdered body of her best friend husband and finds out their lead suspect is said best friend, Roz, Caprice finds herself in the middle of the mystery running down new leads and snooping around. With her curious nature Caprice finds herself cut out for the amateur snooping and ends up discovering the killer before the police do.

Staged to Death has many elements that make this book such a great one. Caprice is a unique and interesting character who stands out with her love to cook, her love of family, and her throwback style. Along with her love of the Beatles and her affection for animals, Caprice is a character readers have never before seen come to life on the pages. Personally, I loved Caprice and thought she was one amazing gal.

Along with a great main character and supporting cast, there is such a good mix of mystery and intrigue, family, romance.

Staged to Death is a wonderful cozy mystery that has readers wanting to curl up on a rainy day and not put this book down for anything. If my fellow readers are anything like myself, after they turn the last page they want nothing more than to whip up a dish from the delicious recipes listed in the back.

I imagine we will be seeing a lot more of Caprice De Luca in the future!
