Newly single school counselor Josie Butler just made herself a Sexy To-Do list (featuring Bad Boys only). To her mortification, her best friend’s gorgeous older brother Mack finds it…and laughs. But when Josie goes looking for some sexy fun, Mack’s nice guy side turns all hot bad-assery, and suddenly she’s pinned against an alley wall. Hottest. Sex. Ever.
Veterinarian Mack Kennedy can’t believe Josie wants to ditch her sweet, girl-next-door lifestyle. Even worse, that she’d consider doing it with anyone but him. When she leaves for London they’ll go back to being ‘just friends’ but until then, he’s going to show her just how bad nice guys can be.
And it’s the perfect plan, as long as no one finds out… and no one falls in love.
My Review: Josie grew up with a mom who fell in love continuously. Her mom was never one to be without a man and Josie in return seeked the stability of one man. When she realizes her heart longs for more she decides to travel but before she does she's got a list to complete and a man to complete it with.
Mack never saw Josie as more than his sister's best friend but when he stumbles on her sexual to-do list he finds himself becoming more and more attractive to her.
Can these two complete the list with no strings attached or will they end up getting their hearts broken when Josie leaves?
Amy Andrews' No More Mr. Nice Guy is a refreshing change of pace for me. I haven't read a book about friends becoming more in ages so that was a bonus. I also loved the fact that both characters were breaking out of their 'norm' and being adventurous, even if it was only in bed.
Both Josie and Mack are simple in their own ways. Josie prefers stability because she lacked that growing up. Mack's a nice guy. He's a genuinely nice guy who loves people and animals, hence being a veterinarian. When it comes to each other they are able to get spontaneity over stability and Mack is able to break out of his nice guy mold. Together they are the perfect couple.
Andrews' No More Mr. Nice Guy is a fantastic novel about trying something new and breaking out of your shell. With characters you can relate to and a wonderful friends to lovers plot, you can't help but love this book.
Five stars for No More Mr. Nice Guy!
