When an arrest goes wrong and the perp ends up dead, SKUL special agent Mick Jasper is under investigation and stripped of his badge. SKUL hires Maggie Park not only because of her ability to blend in with society when undercover but her uncanny ability to know things she shouldn't. Little does the agency know that Maggie is a witch and has special powers she uses to her advantage to clear special agent Jasper's name and hopefully bring the real killer to justice before the killer figures out who she really is.
My Review
GET WITCH OR DIE TRYING is a fun and entertaining read that will make you laugh out loud and want more from Author Tonya Kappes. I'm an avid reader of Tonya Kappes' books, always on the look out from a new release from Kappes. From the beginning of the Spies & Spells series, I have been hooked. However, with the release of Get Witch or Die Trying, I can honestly say that this third book is the best yet.
In Get Witch or Die Trying, Maggie is trying hard not to expose herself as a witch to her partner in Skul, Mick. Between family and spy work (not to mention juggling a nosy neighbor!), Maggie is hard pressed to keep Mick from finding out about her magical abilities, especially with how observant Mick is considering he is a spy.
As Mick is framed for the murders of his ex-girlfriends, it's up to Maggie to clear his name and gather evidence of his innocence. To clear his name will Maggie have to admit to who and what she is?
There were so many reasons I loved Get Witch or Die Trying, but my top two were that a) Maggie can be who she really is and b) Maggie's mom is in full blown Christmas decorating mode - even though it's not Christmas, which I can admit to being so like me. As usual Kappes' writing is humorous, entertaining and will make you laugh yourself silly at times.
